Spicy Baked Penne Pasta



Happy St. Patrick's Day! As most know, we had our St. Patrick's Day dinner yesterday. Today we are enjoying a family favorite. Both my husband and I love spicy foods and this Spicy Baked Penne has hot italian sausage and spicy arrabiata marinara sauce. If you like spice, then you have to give this dish a try. It's delicious!


Spicy Baked Penne Pasta
Serves 8
WW PP=10
Cal 376, Carbs 50.5g, Fat 11.2g, Fiber 6.1g, Protein 17.6g

Ingredients
16 oz. Penne Pasta (I used Ronzoni)
12 oz. hot italian sausage cooked and crumbled (turkey sausage works great too)
2 cups Spicy Marinara Sauce (I used Barilla Arrabbiata)
1.25 cups reduced fat shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Cook pasta to al dente. Drain and set aside.

Combine penne, sausage, and marinara, and pour into a casserole dish. Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese over top.

Bake at 375 for 15 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted. Garnish with fresh basil if desired. Enjoy!
