Sweet and Sour Pork Chop Skillet

We rarely have Chinese food. I think it's been a couple of years since we have had it (unless you consider Panda Express Chinese...HA) My husband loves it but like I've said before, it's good but not my favorite. I decided to make a Sweet and Sour Pork Chop Skillet in hopes it would curb my husbands Chinese Craving and luckily it did! I really enjoyed it too and it was much healthier than the traditonal sweet and sour pork which was an added bonus!

Sweet and Sour Pork Chop Skillet

Ingredients
2 tsp oil
4 Center Cut Boneless Pork Chops (mine were thin cut so I used 6)
1 Green Pepper
2 cans pineapple chunks in juice, undrained
1/4 cup Sweet and Sour Sauce
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
2 cups instant white rice
1 tsp cornstarch (optional-this will make for a thicker sauce)
Sesame Seeds (For Garnish)

Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Add chops; cook 5 min. on each side or until browned on both sides. Add all remaining ingredients except rice; mix well. Bring to boil. Add cornstarch and simmer on medium-low heat for about 10 min. or until pork chops are done. Remove from heat; let stand 5 min. Serve over bed of hot cooked rice. Sprinkle with Sesame seeds if desired. Enjoy!
